Event description

Come enjoy a blend of design, poetry, prose, and art with fine wine and premium gin cocktails at Madeleine Corson’s award-winning studio located in SOMA. This is a rare chance to visit MCD, a creative team that keeps a low profile while designing high profile projects.

Your visit will include a tour of one of San Francisco’s first live/work buildings. An elegant steel and wood structure designed by Richard Stacy of LMSA, the Corson/Heinser Live/Work Building has garnered international awards for its spare architectural approach to housing two creative studios, a residence, and a very large dog.

Enjoy a classic martini made from Distillery No. 209 small-batch gin while taking a sneak peek at the aerial work of renowned photographer Thomas Heinser.

Step upstairs to taste fine wines from Napa’s couture vintners while you gain insight into a studio team that designs luxury wine packaging and also publishes the grassroots literary and arts journal, West Marin Review.

The $15 entry fee includes two beverage tickets, tidbits prepared by Nute’s Noodles, and a complimentary issue of the West Marin Review, in addition to the chance of winning a rare Napa Valley wine! (Event proceeds will help support the nonprofit West Marin Review.)
