Lara McCormick is a nationally recognized designer, educator, and author of ‘Playing with Type: 50 Graphic Experiments for Exploring Typographic Design Principles’ published by Rockport Press. She received her Masters of Fine Art in Design from the School of Visual Arts, and a postgraduate degree in typography from Cooper Union. Lara is a gifted speaker whose appearances include AIGA, TypeCon, SF Design Week, RGD Toronto, and TEDx. She has taught design and typography at the School of Visual Arts, PRATT, UC Berkeley and General Assembly. Her workshops and presentations on typography focus on everything from fundamentals to web type to experimentation, and she continues to explore new ways of making and implementing letterforms.
