Hosting is a great way to be part of the conversation and make your mark.

San Francisco Design Week brings together a diverse group of designers, trade professionals, non-profits, entrepreneurs and businesses leaders to engage in conversation and celebrate design through a wide variety of lectures, workshops, mixers, open houses, social experiments, studio tours all over the Bay Area. We offer a variety of opportunities to collaborate on exhibitions and installations as well, contact us for more info or apply to be a host below.

Lecture

Individual presentation, either short-form (back-to-back) or a longer deep dive.

Workshop

Great for intimate discussions or hands-on activities.

Film

Dim the lights and screen pet projects, new documentaries or design classics.

Coffee With a Designer

Host an intimate conversation (up to 12) over coffee with a designer.

Happy Hour/ Mixer

Easy to set up and great for a casual event to meet other designers.

After Party

Guests unwind into the night after a busy day- limited spots available.

Panel

Lead a guided discussion with a diverse group on stage, followed by audience Q&A.

Exhibition

Schedule a gallery opening or design exhibition during SFDW.

Full Day Events

Create your own full day or two-day program on a topic of your choosing.

Studio Tour

Apply to host a tour during our widely attended two-night Studio Tour.

VIP Party

Host an official SFDW VIP event during the week.

Registration Fees

We’re a non-profit 501(3)c so the fee’s we collect cover promotional and marketing costs for your event leading up to and during design week. To continue serving the SF Design Community by producing this event we rely on these registration fees, sponsorship, donations and the goodness of others. Thank you for support!

Are you a Non-Profit? Registration fees are waived for registered non-profit organizations, and should use the Non-Profit Event Registration Form.

Apply to host an event during SF Design Week 2016

Ready? Apply to have your event added to our calendar by completing the form linked below. We’ll be reviewing all applications to make sure the events are in line with the mission of SF Design Week and will be announcing participants. Once approved, we’ll be in touch and send your official SFDW Welcome Kit full of tips and templates to get you ready for your event. If you’re not accepted? Don’t be sad, we will refund your registration fee or work with you to create something that does reflect the spirit of the event.

Need some time? Our registration form requires some detailed information to make sure we schedule and configure your event correctly on our calendar. Please answer the questions to the best of your ability, this reserves your spot on the calendar! Once approved, we’ll be in touch and send your official SFDW Welcome Kit full of tips and templates to get you ready for your event. Event applications not accepted into this years program will receive a fee refund.
